“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

Just picture this, Jesus left perfection to be with us on earth. He loved us so much that he took on human flesh to take on suffering and limitations just so that we can have never-ending communion with God.

As many going into a time of fasting and prayer, let’s remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for us.

Fasting has the potential for significant impact in our lives. Through fasting and prayer, the Holy Spirit can transform your life personally and God can speak to you in new and dynamic ways.

Tips on What to Do Before Reading Your Bible 📖

✨Ask the Holy Spirit to be your helper to understand the word and to give you discernment to know when God is speaking to you through the word.

✨Keep a pen and journal by your side to make notes while reading

✨Google different versions of the verse/book that you are reading for a better understanding

Journaling the Word 📝

I began journaling in my 20s. I used to watch a bunch of videos and started making notes of things that has affected my life in a positive way. Unfortunately, I did not take down dates or names of the people that motivated me.

This isn’t something that I wrote by myself and I can’t remember who preached this/wrote this or the date that I wrote this in my journal. I do remember watching/reading a lot about prayer and trying to understand it better. I am now in my 30`s and I still have a lot of questions about prayer.
I hope this answers some questions that you might have. Here goes 😊

God does not answer prayers that revolve around yourself and your own advantage. When you pray make sure that your prayers don’t contain selfish elements and that you never pray against someone else. Also, make sure that your prayers are honouring to God, that your relationship with Him is right and that He is the one that would get the glory when your prayer requests are granted.
If God answers every little prayer that is directed at Him, the whole world would be in chaos. He is omniscient (knowing everything) and completely righteous. He answers your prayer in the best way that benefits you most, even though His answer may differ vastly from the answer that you really wanted.🤍

Accept His answer.👏🏽

God has a greater purpose in mind and what He gives you as an answer to your prayer is always best for you.🙏🏽

Here's why ⬇️

✨He thinks
Acts 15 vs 28 - It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements

✨He speaks - Acts 1 vs 16
Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.

✨He grieves - Ephesians 4 vs 30
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

✨He decides - 1 Corinthians 12 vs 11
All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.

The Holy Spirit, our Helper is gentle and WILL NOT force Himself into your life. In all His glory, you have to ask Him to fill you. (Luke 11 vs 13)
