I started this passion project in 2019 - hoping to launch in 2020. Then Covid hit us HARD… And I could not be more grateful…. Because it taught me a few things.
One of the lessons that stands out the most to me is how important community is. Before Corona I was fixed on importing beautiful items to South Africa from different countries. After Corona I have completely changed my mind and went in a new direction… locally. We have so many talented people in our beautiful country, esp older ladies. They have a rich knowledge of fabric, pattern making, crochet, sewing…. And what do we use them for? To fix our zippers, or to make cushion covers. Now there is nothing wrong with this, but they have so much potential and skill. They get left behind because they don’t know anything about Instagram or Facebook marketing. The digital world is alien to them. And this is where I want to jump in and help them. Give them a job. Help me to help them!💛💛💛
