Can linen be tumble dried? This is a common question and our answer is Yes and No 😆 It will depend on how you like to wear your linen. If you like it more formal and crisp, then line drying is definitely the best way to go.💨 If you love it more boho, drapey and especially if you adore the soft wrinkled texture, then tumble drying is a good choice for you. 💃🕺
There are three important things to consider before tumble drying though - dryer will shorten the life of the garment as it brakes the fibres (It also makes it softer though), and if used on hot, will also facilitate some shrinkage (so make sure the fit isn't tight already). The third point to consider is that you would like to remove your garments from the dryer before they are completely dry, and use your hands to stretch out some of the larger wrinkles - especially around the hems.
What is your experience with tumble drying your linen clothing? I know some of our clients would NEVER, like NEVER do it, while others can't imagine wearing linen if they couldn't tumble dry ☺ I personally do both, some of the more formal shirts I air-dry on a hanger, while some of the more relaxed styles I am happy to tumble dry.
