On a magical visit to Churchhaven, in the West Coast National Park last weekend, I came across a mushroom growing out of the dune. The palette reminded me of this piece... the determination to exist on that exposed sand, reminded me of the title.

Rooted is up until the end of the month...🌿 In a world that feels increasingly fast, fragmented and uncertain, ROOTED invites a return – to ground, to body, to breath. ROOTED explores the importance of grounding ourselves physically, mentally and emotionally. It considers what it means to stand steady amidst movement and to remain anchored while the world shifts around us. The exhibition reflects on grounding as both a personal and collective act. To be rooted is not to be rigid, but to be connected; to place, to memory, to process and to self. For many of the participating artists, the act of making becomes a form of grounding.
