Hanging your laundry out to dry is fantastic for the environment, but nobody loves putting on stiff, deeply wrinkled jeans! 👖☀️

Next wash day, use this clever line-drying hack to save time on ironing:

▪ 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘂𝗽𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻: Peg your jeans by the bottom ankle hems rather than the waistband. The heavy, damp waistband and pockets will naturally pull downward as they dry, smoothing out wrinkles along the legs!

▪ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲-𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗽: Give your wet jeans a good, firm shake before pe***ng them up to relax the fibres and shake out wash creases.

▪ 𝗙𝗹𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁: Always turn dark and indigo denim inside out before hanging them in the sun to protect the rich colour from fading.

Ever pulled your favourite hoodie or pair of sweatpants out of the wash only to find one end of the drawstring has vanished into the fabric abyss? 🎣🤦‍♂️

Fishing a lost string back through a waistband channel is nobody's idea of a fun weekend. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴:

▪ 𝗧𝗶𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘄: Loosely knot or bow the drawstrings together before tossing the garment into the wash. This stops the cord from slipping inside and prevents it from wrapping around other clothes.

▪ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸: Pin the ends of the drawstring to the outer fabric with a small safety pin before washing. That string won't budge an inch!

▪ 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝗴: Popping delicate drawstring pants or hoodies into a wash bag gives them extra protection against heavy machine spinning and tangling.

▪ 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴: Make sure the loose knot is still in place before hanging or drying so the cords don't work their way loose late in the cycle.

Dropped a bit of salad dressing or a greasy chip on your favourite top? 🍟 Don't panic - the secret to lifting oil stains is probably sitting right in your bathroom or pantry!

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀:

✔ 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆: Gently press a paper towel against the spill to soak up as much surface oil as possible. Avoid wiping, which spreads the grease.

✔ 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗯 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗶𝗹: Cover the stain completely with baby powder (or cornstarch) and let it sit for 10–15 minutes to draw out the grease from deep in the fibres.

✔ 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗲 & 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗯: Gently brush away the powder. Mix a drop of dishwashing liquid with a little warm water and work it gently into the spot using an old, soft toothbrush.

✔ 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝗵 & 𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝘆: Wash the garment as usual. (Added tip: Always air-dry after treating an oil stain—hot tumble dryer heat will permanently bake in any leftover residue!)

Spills happen to the best of us! When they do, the golden rule is simple: speed is everything. The faster you act, the easier it is to save your favourite outfit. 🍷🍝

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁:

▪ 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝘁, 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗯: Gently dab the spill immediately with a clean cloth or napkin. Scrubbing rubs the liquid deeper into the fabric fibres.

▪ 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗻-𝘁𝗵𝗲-𝗴𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Keep a portable stain removal pen or wipe in your bag or car to treat coffee splatters and sauce drops before they dry.

▪ 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸: Saturate stubborn spots with white vinegar, apply a paste of equal parts vinegar and baking soda, and wash on a cool cycle.

▪ 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝘆𝗲𝗿: Never put a stained garment into a hot tumble dryer. High heat will permanently bake any remaining residue into the fabric!

✔ 𝗗𝗜𝗬 𝗢𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗿: Fill an old sock or the foot of a stocking with baking soda, tie it off, and place it at the bottom of your basket. Swap it out once a month to continuously absorb musty smells.

✔ 𝗗𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽: Never toss damp towels or sweaty gym clothes straight into a closed hamper! Let them air dry first to stop mildew from forming.
