Back to School Lunch Box idea!

We homeschool, but is a blessing to surprise my kids with a morning time treat whenever the inspo kicks in.
These crusty pockets are easy to make, find the recipe below.

Lunch Box Pockets

1 x Roll Short Crust pastry refrigerated overnight

Pre-Heat your oven to 180
Prep two sheet pans with baking paper.

Roll out your dough with a flour dusted rolling pin.
Cut it into squares.

*Savoury Option*

Beat 5 x eggs with flavour profiles you love. We've added Hondashi which gives it a smoky savoury vibe.
Beat 1 extra egg to brush your pastry.
4 x Kale stalks chopped finely. (You may add any veg, left overs or meat)
Grated Cheddar Cheese

Scramble the eggs with the kale in a pan. Do not overcook it.
Egg brush the circumference of your dough squares with egg and spoon your filling into the one half.
Close the pockets, pressing the edges down with a fork, poke holes on the top, egg wash.

*Sweet Option*

Add banana slices, a dollop of nutbutter and a few chocolate drops to the one half and close your pocket as above.

Bake for 25 - 30 min check in to see if their golden and crispy.
Let them cool before serving or packing for an on the go lunch.

Ons groet 2024 op 'n hoë noot. Ons het hierdie jaar doelbewus gekies om terug te staan en ons beterhelfdes en kindertjies te dien.

Ons het Jan Pierewiet in 2020 vir Jesus Christus gegee, Hy besluit wat waar en hoe. Nogtans het julle ons geseën met bestellings waaroor ons elke keer dans sonder enige advertensies of moeite.
Dit is vir ons so 'n groot getuienis! Jesus wèèt wat ons nodig het. Soms wil jy baie dinge hê, maar wanneer jy dit regkry om die 'needs' van die 'wants' te skei begin die lig skyn in die donker en dan sien jy die Lig!

Ons 'custom orders' is toe vir die jaar. Daar is wel 'n paar ekstras wat ons tot 18 Desember sal stuur.

Ons sien uit na wat Jesus beplan vir 2025! Enige bestellings sal vanaf 15 Januarie in produksie gaan.

Mag julle Jesus Christus tasbaar beleef hierdie feestyd, laat Hom toe in jou hart sodat Hy jou lewe kan kom verander.
