We had the BEST combined birthday celebration at on Wednesday.
Rivergate ticks all the boxes for a private function - exquisite venue; amazing hosts; stress-free organising; delectable, jam-packed flavourful food coupled with next level service.
On a gentle, balmy autumn day, we couldn't have wished for more. A kick-back, relaxed afternoon. Simply the best!

Time. Has flown.

It's been a while since I last posted. A great unfolding of new beginnings has been taking place since March last year. And here we are, almost a year later - I'm settled in stunning Stanford and getting back to what I love doing.

This piece is by far the largest eco-printing piece I've done to date, and I absolutely love it! Eucalyptus leaves, fallen bark, and circles of rust all add to the depth of grey-blue, charcoal, orange, khaki and off-white natural colours.

I find subtle images embedded in the prints... a woman.... an alpaca grazing ... circles captured in time. There's more, the longer the contemplation.

The good ol' South Easter has put paid to our Outdoor Night Market tonight. 😔 The gale is predicted to increase hugely by tonight and the organizers, understandably, can't take the chance for everyone's safety and well-being outside facing the elements.

However, still continues for all indoor retail venues and restaurants.

So The Collective shop will be OPEN, showcasing all their artists and creatives work for your appreciation and support 🙏 .... PLUS live music, coffee and snacks will be available. The party continues! 🥳

A joyous explosion of colour! An exhibition of different art disciplines from and with a connection of mindfulness of nature.

Gabby's hand-drawn Nature Spirit Totems are mysterious yet serene. In each of our silk scarves, the memory and spirit of wind-fall leaves is captured.

Paper cuts from photos of the fire that destroyed the farm Gabby was living on, reflect the beauty that can be found in the aftermath and ruins. The neutral natural shades of the alpaca scarves and the natural dyes used in the silk scarves are a tribute to honouring Nature as it is intended.

Her garden inspired mixed media stem from her search for freedom and fluidity which is echoed in the wave-like patterns of the sculptural felted scarves.

Just so delightful finding the synergy between what each of us create!

Shades of many colours...nature's palette. Different printing techniques achieve a variety of effects. Shibori, dip-dyeing, botanical printing, resist printing, brush painting are just some of the things we love to do.
Our dyes are mostly natural with the exception of the deep blue and turquoise. The subtle pinks, old golds, aquas and greens are all natural.
A variety to see and choose from at Art on Oak, Greyton during the this weekend.
