A nice sized Black Mamba that I caught in Mariannhill yesterday, at an industrial park. :D

The mamba was seen coming out of a shipping container, and slithered through a workspace, hiding behind a plank of wood up against a wall, next to a work bench.

I had to lift the wood upwards, above the table, it was the only option. I was a little nervous as to which direction the mamba may shoot off to. My feet would be fairly close to it, although they were covered by Groundcover Leather Company 😎👍

I lifted the board, and the mamba stayed where it was, curled up, giving me time to grab it with the Elite African Snakebite Institute tongs.
It tried hooking it's head around the table stands, while I had the tail in my hand. It was a strong snake, although yet again, just about all of the mambas I catch, are.
Fortunately, I soon maneuvered the tongs, and got a grip of the neck region. I pulled it closer to me, and secured the head in my hand. Job done.

Mambas are buzzing at the moment, especially the males, as they track down the scent of females, due to it being mating season.
No need to panic, they're not extra aggressive at this time. They're their usual skittish selfs.
