It takes a lot of boldness to step out in prophetic dance when you sense the Holy Spirit quickening you and giving you dance steps in the place of worship, especially when it happens in a public/corporate setting. One of the reasons why it takes a lot of boldness is that
1. You risk being misunderstood. A lot of people have a tendency to brand anything they don't understand or anything they have never personally experienced as demonic.
2. You risk being accused of being possessed by an evil spirit. Many people who do not understand this dimension of worship see it as something strange, weird or even an unnecessary display of emotion. To them, worship needs to be 'dignified' 'put together.' So when you yield to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead you in dancing before the Lord as He quicken you, they conclude something must be wrong with you.
Granted, the enemy also uses dances to open up evil gateways. But the presence of counterfeit does not negate the reality of what's genuine. Because the enemy uses dance does not mean we should throw out this dimension of worship.
In fact, what the devil did was take what was originally of God, and then he corrupted it for his evil purposes, in the same way that he took the dimension of worship, which was originally created by God for holy worship, then he corrupted it for his evil purposes. Remember he was once in heaven, he saw and participated in worship. So he simply took what he saw there and corrupted it.
Psalm 149:3-4
3 Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with timbrel and harp.
4 For the LORD takes delight in His people; He crowns the humble with victory.
Ecclesiastes 3:4
A time to weep and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn and a time to dance.
Psalm 30:11
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness,
What matters is the spirit behind the worship. Is your heart centred on Christ? Is your heart full of adoration, love and
