The glossy, shimmering satin material is spreading into the Nike Sportswear catalog as yet another 80s model appears with the sporty fabric. Already seen in a Dunk Low in UNLV colors and a clean white/red Air Force 1 Low, the varsity jacket material has crept onto the Dunk High in a lifestyle-friendly Pecan brown shade. Reminiscent of the 1999 co.jp Dunk Low release, this upcoming Dunk High features the same two-toned colorblocking with Dark Curry brown on the overlay and a flat white smoother leather on the base. Unlike the ’99 pair, which featured a white nylon tongue, this 2023 Dunk High iteration utilizes a matching brown on the tongue.

Alongside the collaborative aid of Social Status, Penny Hardaway’s Nike Air Max Penny has been privy to a raucous revitalization alongside the return of OG casts and hues. From the 90s-concocted pair’s iconic “Home”, “All-Star” and “Orlando” scheme, an unbeknownst greyscale composition extends over Hardaway’s first signature silhouette impersonating that of a 2005 release. Mimicking the clad monochrome upper of its mid-2000s “Neutral Grey” effort, the silhouette’s mixture of leather, suede and mesh come dipped in a brightened color palette. Save the pair’s matching light grey overlay, lace loops and heel counter to that of its predecessor, the suede-treated base layer indulges in a crisp white anchoring, color-matched along its tongue, sock liner and thin nylon laces. Mirroring the latter silhouette’s continued use of blank white shades to envelop its enlarged midfoot overlay, an aged Air Bag unit in the heel proffers a closing homage to the 2005 pair while “Pure Platinum” accents adorn the jewel Swoosh and embroidered 1 Cent logo.

Jordan Brand has instituted a number of heralded design choices throughout the iconic lineage of Michael Jordan’s signature silhouette. Most often attributed to its debut atop the Air Jordan 3, Tinker Hatfield’s synonymous elephant print has gone on to dress a number of models, now coordinating an all-out assemblage of the cracked appearance across the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, which releases in Europe and the UK this Saturday, February 25th. Initially teased in September of last year, the highly-divisive, experimental proposition engages in one of the more eccentric uses of the latter surface. Introduced through a crisp white leather base layer, the brightened vamp and mid-foot panel pairs with jet-black contrasts along the laces, collar, winged insignia and mid-foot Swoosh for a monochromatic backdrop. Stretching the aforementioned greyscale print across the entirety of the upper’s overlays, an aged cream midsole harkens to the ensemble’s heritage-driven aesthetic while grey branding at the tongue pairs with the treatment of its tread underfoot.

From StrangeLove Skateboards to Stingwater, Nike SB has teamed up with a wide range of collaborative partners over the course of the last few years. And for 2023, the sub-label is heading all the way over to Shanghai to offer FLY Streetwear their very own Dunk Low. Following leaks earlier this Fall, in-hand images of the collaboration have finally surfaced. Comprised of blues, creams, and a tinge of Volt, the colorway focuses mainly on FLY Streetwear’s requested touches. Alongside co-branded tongue labels and sockliners emblazoned with Chinese characters, the design features embroidered Swooshes on both sides, the lateral of which is done up to resemble a feather. This complements the earing motif that stamps the heel as well as the insole, and matches the finish of the literal rope laces.

Celebrating its 50th-anniversary last year, The Swoosh in turn unveiled a premium-tooled lineup of their heritage-filled silhouettes honoring the ceremonious occasion. Dipped in dark maroon hues with golden metallic rings harkening to each pair’s history on the hardwood, the Nike Dunk Low’s honorary proposition is set to release this week. Emblazoned with JUST DO IT monickers throughout dressed in gold along the heel, concurring MMXXIII roman numerals denote the brand’s timeless imprint in 2023. Falling on the darker side of the color spectrum in comparison to its Blazer and AF1 counterparts, crisp “Sail” treated textured leathers encase the silhouettes base layer while a murky “Team Red” indulges across the upper overlays and mid-foot Swoosh – which comes accented by a thin black shadowed backdrop. Infusing its midsole unit with a vibrant “Muslin”, golden hang tabs act as the propositions dubraes placed at the base of the vamp.

Nike N7 is so much more than a collection of product. Established in 2009, the initiative gives back to Native American and Indigenous communities, all the while immortalizing their culture and roots through some of the Swoosh’s own cultural icons. And come later this year, one such classic — the Dunk Low — will be doing just that in not one but two flora-covered colorways. Unlike its counterpart, which was revealed in-hand a few days ago, this iteration of the Nike Dunk Low Decon N7 is marginally more bold in the way of palette. Rather than complement its lighter neutrals with blacks, this pair paints its Swoosh, heel tab, and tongue in a bright red. The embroidery that runs around the heel and toe are distinct as well, balancing out the louder tone with simpler vines and florals. There are similarities to the aforementioned, though, in the N7 branding as well as the icy blue bottom.

Having released less than a year ago, The Swoosh is returning to the washed suede aesthetic that rendered its widely-popular Air Jordan 1 “Hyper Royal” proposition, borrowing the latter for its latest Nike Dunk High build. Extending a hairy suede across its base layer, a muted grey hue fills the vamp, midfoot and collar panels setting the stage for its pre-worn panels above to revel in the limelight. Murky, cloudy sky blues lay claim to the aforementioned overlays in tandem with its midfoot Swooshes while the tongue, laces and sock liner provide a contrasting strip of crisp white down the middle of the model. Matching the colorless shade across its clad sole unit underfoot, the near all-suede outfit concludes along its baby blue insoles. While we sit tight on further release date information from the Beaverton-based brand, enjoy official images of the Nike Dunk High “Worn Blue” below in the meantime.

Just a month into the new year, Tiffany and Co. shocked the sneaker landscape with the official announcement of their collaboration with The Swoosh and its heralded Air Force 1. From critiques to admiration, the upcoming premium-tooled ensemble will certainly boast one of the most revered releases of 2023 with official images of the widely-conversed Tiffany and Co. x Nike Air Force 1 Low having recently been made available. Rife with comparisons to Nick Diamond’s unofficial SB Dunk Low effort from 2005, the instead boasts a darkened choice of the jewelry design house’s signature color palette. Rendering its clad nubuck upper panels in a pitch-dark wash of black, the tongue construction, quarter, sock liner and heel tab instead proffer a leather finish. Attributing color-matched thick rope laces below cursive Tiffany branded tongue tabs, the mid-foot Swooshes cracked leather texture dawns a vibrant turquoise outfit in tandem with its insoles. Affixed to the latter and the spine of the heel, sterling silver detailing brings an illuminated conclusion amongst jet-black sole units to the collaborative effort.

Thanks to both sneaker leakers and early obtainers, we’re going into 2023 with near-full knowledge of what will be releasing several months down the road. And while Jordan Brand has evidently saved their best for the second half of the year, there are still a number of Spring-bound standouts to keep an eye out for, such as the previously-revealed Air Jordan 1 “Skyline.” This upcoming Air Jordan 1 doesn’t mimic any ordinary skyline, however, but the background of one of Michael Jordan’s most famous photos. Here, the time said image was captured is emulated by way of the canvas overlays, whose gradient shifts from light warm tones to faded blues. The base, in contrast, is rendered in black and white neutrals, while the midsole opts for a faint cream. For an early look at the upcoming Air Jordan 1 “Skyline,” check out the leaked image below. According to previous reports, these are expected to release on March 18th of 2023, doing so via Nike SNKRS as well as the usual retailers.

Ahead of International Women’s Day, NIKE, Inc. will launch a commemorative Air Jordan 1 Low throughout Europe. Focused on the women’s rights movement, IWD takes place on March 8 as a callback to organized strikes by women in textile factories in 1857. Brand Jordan’s celebratory retro takes on a compelling “Amethyst Wave” and “Canyon Purple” color scheme, making reference to the global holiday via a number of graphics and messages. The words “Equality” and “Unity” appear on the leather toe box, while flora and suns add brightness to the area. Furthermore, a message of hope accompanies the “hand-drawn” figures: “Because One Day This Day Will Be Our Everyday.” Other panels throughout the Air Jordan 1 feature suede and corduroy material for a refreshing build of the model. More flower graphics are embroidered onto the lateral heel, breathing new life into the original Air Jordan. Lastly, the iconic sole unit underfoot keeps things simple in off white and light purple, rounding out the International Women’s Day offering.

First seen towards the tail end of 2022, the Air Jordan 1 “Lucky Green” is among one of the year’s most exciting releases, only paling in comparison to the likes of the upcoming Air Jordan 3 “White Cement Reimagined.” And following several teasers over the course of the past few months, official images of the Celtics-friendly colorway have finally surfaced. Akin to the “Black Toe” in the way of color blocking, the Air Jordan 1 “Lucky Green” is expected to arrive later this April. The titular green sits front and center along the shoe, highlighting not only the laces and branding but also the heel counter, ankle flaps, and outsole. Elsewhere, the design is done up in a way similar to its aforementioned counterpart, with black painting the Swoosh and overlays and white the base and midsole. Enjoy an official look at the Air Jordan 1 “Lucky Green” ahead. A release is currently scheduled for April 15th, with pairs sure to hit Nike SNKRS as well as select retailers.
