The Lilitha Top is one of those pieces that quietly earns a permanent place in a wardrobe. Designed with a just-right length, it pairs effortlessly with skirts and pants, and can easily be styled as a vest for warmer days or layered looks.

I still love the contrast of the dotted stitch pattern with the cable and lace panel at the front — a combination that adds texture without feeling heavy. It’s knit in a soft cotton cashmere blend, which makes it comfortable to wear close to the skin, especially in summer.

Before I cast on a new garment, I think about a few things.

Not gauge.

Not techniques.

Not whether it’s trending.

Instead, I ask myself:

• How many outfits can I create with it?
• Will I genuinely wear this colour?
• Does it fit the life I have, not the life I imagine?

The garments I wear most are rarely the most complicated. They’re the pieces that work effortlessly with the rest of my wardrobe and suit how I actually dress day to day.

Those questions played a big role in the design of the Lindiwe Top. Simple, versatile, and easy to style with pieces already hanging in my closet.

The Zukhanye Dress launched in May last year, and it has been my best-selling pattern ever since.

When I first designed it, I wasn’t sure how knitters would feel about a dress pattern. As it turns out, many of you were looking for exactly that — a handmade garment that’s comfortable, versatile, and easy to wear.

Knit in Purl Soho Cattail Silk held double, Zukhanye features a flattering A-line silhouette, inseam pockets, and a simple top-down construction. The scoop neckline and flowing shape create a piece that feels effortless while still looking polished.

Whether paired with sandals on a warm day or layered with your favourite pieces as the seasons change, it’s designed to be a wardrobe staple you’ll reach for again and again.

The Zimasa Dress is a top-down knit featuring a V-neck, set-in sleeves, and a fitted upper bodice that transitions into a softly flared body. It’s designed to sit close through the top for a clean, structured fit, before flowing into a full skirt that moves comfortably on the body.

The sample is knit in Nurturing Fibres Eco Cotton in the shade Earth — a beautiful, natural tone that highlights the simplicity and drape of the design.
