From chemical convenience to intentional nourishment 🤍

There was a time I would have stretched mince with whatever was easiest.
Packet sauces. Add-ins. Quick fixes.
Not because I didn’t care —
but because I was overwhelmed.

Now I stretch our food differently.
Tonight’s bowl:
Mince + lentils as the base.
Corn. Avo. Cucumber.
Fresh grated ginger. A little mayo.

Adding lentils doesn’t water the meal down.
It builds it up.

More fibre.
More plant protein.
More nourishment.
No artificial fillers.
No hidden ingredients.

This is what my transition has looked like — not extreme, not overnight.
Just replacing “quick chemicals” with whole foods that actually serve our bodies.

Same busy mom.
Different intention.
Small swaps. Real ingredients.
A calmer kitchen.

Once a month, I bake a batch of muffins and split them into family snack packs. Then we freeze them — ready to grab and go on weekends for last-minute outings.

Full disclosure: this isn’t my recipe — just regular muffins for now. But I’m planning to swap over to a healthier version soon! 💛
