HAMETHOP is a South African contemporary ready-to-wear and accessories brand. We design unique and art-object pieces, adaptable to fit into a woman’s daily life. We gathers examples from these overlapping disciplines and crafts in an attempt to visually emphasise the liminal. The stories of each capsule is told through a versatile wardrobe, recognisable for its innovative shapes, as each piece is

handmade in a studio that celebrates traditional techniques, perfected and taught across multiple generations. From woven handles to hand-rendered prints, Hamethop presents itself as a harmonised, multifaceted brand that has an identifiable voice and aesthetic. Through constant collaboration efforts between different art forms, we are constantly pushing the boundaries and radicalising into a new paradigm and evolving.
