We are 4 friends in Durban South Africa and we make wooden sunglasses and spectacles

Every pair is lovingly and meticulously hand crafted using a variety of exotic woods, sourced locally from offcuts and reclaimed wood. Each pair comes standard with quality polarized glass (fully uv protected) as well as spring hinges and a cloth pouch. We also do custom shapes based on sketches or images.

We’re back.

After a hiatus in 2019, Kraft Eyewear returns. What started as a passion for handcrafted wooden frames never really went away, and neither did the demand. Your messages, requests, and continued support brought us here.

To mark our return, we’re releasing a limited run of just 40 pairs. Each piece is carefully made, celebrating natural materials, individuality, and timeless design.

No matter which lens you see it through, the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting each of us in our own way. Among the most affected are those fighting the illness, but also the families whose livelihoods have been restricted because of the lockdown. Local makers and businesses are having to change the way that they operate.

At Kraft Eyewear, we're fortunate to have a home workshop and are able to produce stock at this time. We will be offering a 35% off lockdown sale and all orders will be delivered after restrictions are lifted. Your support will be greatly appreciated, not only to us but all those financially vulnerable.

We'd also ask our Kraft community to consider our domestic workers and gardeners who may need food and supplies, if we are in a position to help them financially let's do so. Stay safe.
