When Zola, an elder artisan, realizes she can no longer compete with the effortless grace of her brilliant young apprentice, Kamali, a toxic malice takes root in her heart. Desperate for glory, she bypasses the village ancestors and steps into the Forbidden Thicket to make a deadly deal with an Umthakathi (a rotted, termite-skinned rogue witch). The price? A single, forbidden kiss that will rip the very life-force and breath from an innocent girl.
But dark magic always demands a price that is far too heavy to pay...
