Mmathapelo (woman of prayer)

My maternal grandmother used to call me Mmathapelo.
Named after my paternal grandmother
Because she is me and I am her,
Because her last name is Esther
Because her son is my father
Because my father is Thapelo.
Because I am child of the living God and I pray.
Who am I?
I am Mmathapelo.
By colonial legacy I am Esther
Probably not as much as the Queen in the book of Esther.
But I am her. And she is me.
I am Mmathapelo.

I rented a two room accommodation during my first year...and it had lots of "privacy" 😉so.. I took advantage and made this in the other room where the Mma'stand wouldn't see ...🤭
A black and orange butterfly made out of little paper hearts 🥰.

Artists like to leave pieces of them every where they go. To me, this was more than that..
by the way, I really wish to have seen their faces when they saw it after I'd moved out
