We started with a phone.

Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate. Sometimes the shot isn't perfect. Sometimes the equipment isn't enough.

That's part of the story too.

Because the people we're documenting didn't wait for perfect conditions to start their businesses.

So we're not going to pretend we started with a production studio either.

We're building The Republic 100 the same way many of our entrepreneurs built their businesses:

with what we have, while working toward what we want.
