A very sincere thank you for you exceptionally very well engineered and manufactured products.
I purchased and installed an EZDown for my Mazda BT50 Double cab (last Ford build) in March 2014. A photo of the original packaging is attached. The Ezdown was easy to install and worked flawlessly for more than 12 years. When I sold my BT50 in May 2026, the EzDown still looked brand new, no rust, discolouration or any other signs of long term use and it operated as on day one. This far exceeded any expectations and the EzDown brand was thus the only consideration for my new Triton double cab. I purchased the EzDown and DIY installed it in less than 15 minutes. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, the handful of parts fitted my vehicle perfectly and it operates perfectly.
My primary consideration for installing a tailgate damper is for safety:
a vehicle tailgate which can accidentally fall down is very dangerous and can kill a child or large animal or inflict serious injury to an adult. I am thus of the opinion that a tailgate damper should be a mandatory safety mechanism for any such vehicle whether it's for personal or commercial use. My secondary consideration is to prevent or minimise possible damage to the tailgate should it accidentally fall down onto an object. My final consideration is for the convenience especially when opening the tailgate with one hand while providing a "premium" ergonomic feel and appearance to the vehicle.
