DOUGHNUT tell us you have never used to make Doughnuts?!
This Cinnamon Doughnut a-MAIZE-ing Sweet Tooth Recipe is a must-try!
You will need:
● 400ml Magnifisan Maize Meal
● 250ml milk
● 250ml water
● 100ml flour
● 5ml salt
● 30ml sugar
● 10ml baking powder
● 500ml sugar
● 30ml ground cinnamon
● 2 eggs
Method:
1. In a bowl, mix the Magnifisan Maize Meal, milk, water, flour, eggs, salt, sugar and
baking powder.
2. In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon.
3. Heat the frying oil in a pot to 180C or test the oil by dropping a spoonful of batter in the oil. It should bubble and the colour should change slowly as it needs to cook through.
4. Scoop a spoon of batter and use another spoon to drop the batter into the oil to fry the doughnuts. 5. Fry until golden and cooked through.
6. Once you have removed the doughnut from the oil, place on a paper towel to drain the oil.
7. Toss them through the cinnamon sugar while they are still warm and enjoy!
