The Nicholas Coutts A/W 2017 collection takes you back to the nostalgia of the 70’s. An amalgamation of Cape Town cultures, subtle s*x appeal and energetic colours to give an overall optimistic point of view. Looking at the vast landscape recently devastated by fire and a continuous drought that translates into a somber mood throughout the campaign and is in contrast with the fresh, vibrant and dynamic colours of the collection.

New Menswear campaign!

The NICHOLAS COUTTS Spring/Summer 2016/2017 Campaign was shot on the beautiful east coast of the Western Cape at De Kelders. Exploring the caves and the rock formation of the area and telling a story through art director Gabrielle Kannemeyer and captured by photographer Luca Vincenzo.
The collection stems from urbanism versus naturalism, exploring the masculinity of African fashion and representing strong and powerful silhouettes galvanising the modern man but still keeping the shapes and styles traditional.
Flecks of subcultures are represented by the fabrics including jacquard denim, cotton twill, acid denim, quantec, wool and mohair to create visual impact.
The collection amalgamates the exploration of empowerment, enrichment and comfort with natural elements to create a mood which represents the new aesthetic of Africa.
