And I realised that although you see Mooigoed here all the time, some of you might not know much about the woman behind it.

So… hello. 👋

I’m Lynette.

I love quiet time with God, a really good cup of coffee, getting my hands dirty in the garden and anything green. 💚

I am completely incapable of being normal about Irish Terriers. 😂

And yes — the woman who tells you that earrings can change an outfit genuinely does not leave the house without earrings.

Mooigoed Design has been part of my life as a business owner for 13 years.

There have been beautiful seasons, difficult seasons, lessons I probably wouldn’t have chosen for myself, and so many moments where I’ve had to trust God with what came next.

And maybe that’s one of the gifts of getting older.

I’m less interested in proving who I am.

Less interested in becoming who the world says I should be.

And increasingly grateful for the woman God created me to be.

So today I’m celebrating another trip around the sun with a grateful heart. 🤍

For my family.
For my business.
For the people I’ve met because of it.
For gardens and dogs and coffee.
For colourful earrings.

And most of all, for God’s faithfulness through every chapter.

Here’s to another year of becoming more of who I was created to be. 🥂

She needs that pair.

The ones she reaches for with jeans and a white shirt.

The ones that somehow make an old dress feel new again.

The ones that make her feel a little more colourful, a little more confident and a lot more like herself.

Because I’ve never wanted Mooigoed to be about owning more jewellery.

I want it to be about finding jewellery you love enough to actually live in. 💗

And judging by the beautiful message I received from a customer today, that feeling when you find your pair never gets old. 🥹

Before Monday gets loud… 🤍

Maybe you don’t need another productivity list tonight.

Maybe you don’t need to work harder, plan harder or figure everything out.

Maybe tonight you simply need to remember that you were never meant to carry everything alone.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what I want this little corner of the internet to become.

Yes, there will always be pretty earrings here. 😂💗

But I want there to be something else too.

A place that reminds women that there is beauty in ordinary days.

That joy matters.

That kindness matters.

That faith matters.

And that sometimes it’s okay to put down what you’ve been carrying and trust God with what you cannot control. 🤍

Tomorrow will come.

look in the mirror…

Because for us, jewellery isn’t just the finishing touch.

It’s personality.
It’s colour.

I think sometimes it simply reminds her of the woman who’s already there. 🤍

The woman who loves colour.
The woman who laughs loudly.
The woman who spent years putting everybody else first.
The woman who still wants to feel pretty on an ordinary Friday.

And maybe that’s why I love making jewellery so much.

It’s never just the earrings for me.

It’s that tiny moment when she puts them on, looks in the mirror and thinks…

“Oh. I LOVE these.”

That little spark matters. ✨
