• We shop in Sulawesi Street, Denpasar for batik fabrics, lengths in metres, jelly rolls, fat quarter bundles – 2 fabulous shops…just around the corner there is a shop that has silks – infact that whole block of shops are full of fabric
• We visit a batik making factory, participate in dyeing and stamping your own piece of fabric. They have loads of bolts of fabric for sale – also jelly rolls, fat quarter packs…and so affordable
• Options to do a wax resist dyeing class– you get to spend time at a Balinese home in their courtyard waxing and dyeing your hand drawn picture.
• Option to participate in an indigo dyeing workshop
• Visit Threads of Life – and a beautiful décor shop Ikatbatik – only has homeware products made with blue/white fabrics
• See Balinese traditional Batik artists at work
• See Traditional ikat weaving – shopping experience at KlungKlung market
• Option to do Balinese cooking class – visit the fresh market first – then cook up a sumptuous meal for lunch
• Shopping – Ubud Market, jewellery stores, clothes, sarongs, bags, basketware
• We get to visit a beautiful temple, the Monkey Forest, taste Luwark Coffee, wood carvers…and many more sights
• If you are a waterbaby – we have a snorkelling trip on offer…white-water rafting
• Most lunches and dinners at your cost …. Inexpensive
• Swimming pools, Spas and pampering galore
• Food is delightful !!
