CAKE SMASH SAFETY - A must read

Today, a little one excitedly went in for a bite of their 1st birthday cake—only to be hurt by a hidden support stick under the icing. 😨 THERE WAS BLOOD. 💔

Many bakers use wooden or plastic dowels to support tall or tiered cakes. While they help with structure, they can be extremely dangerous—especially for little ones during cake smashes! Babies naturally go in face-first, unaware of these hidden hazards.

🛑 Bakers, Parents & Photographers: Please take extra precautions and communicate with each other.
✅ Bakers: Clearly inform parents if support sticks are used & remove them if possible.
✅ Parents: Always check cakes before letting your child dig in!
✅ Photographers please tell parents to take this precaution to heart.
