I started thrifting as a student (I'm still one) and my desire for new clothes outweighed my budget. It was very simple.

But I grew to learn that it was also eco-friendly. While I can't be the type of eco warrior I want to be, I thought that thrifting wherever I could would be a compromise.

Some really cool non clothes items I've thrifted include:
• the mirror you see in the selfies.
• table cloths, bathroom matts and dish towels
• photo frames
• cookie jars
• my will to live (I often wonder if people even read this far)
