The successful candidate will work very closely with the Business Manager, General Manager, the other Assistant General Manager, and the Executive Chef team along with all Heads of Department.

Relevant experience required:

 Experience in a senior management role within a luxury safari operation for more than 3 years.

Stock Controller

Operations – Stores

 Control and account for all goods in the store
 Check all goods delivered to the store against the invoice, ensure goods are of high quality and the right goods
 Return goods and request a credit note for goods that are not correct
 Sign receipt of goods once checked
 Order stock and supplies and ensure that cash transactions are paid promptly
 Source and negotiate products and prices with suppliers
 Ensure adequate stock levels at all times
 Maintain strict documentation with regards to all issuing and receiving of goods – goods / services received must be signed by authorized person. All stock issued must be signed by authorized receiver
 Be present and actively involved in all stock takes at central stores and or at lodges
 Liaise with Managers with regards to any discrepancies and stock shortages
 Ensure that the outcomes of all paper work is communicated to the Financial Manager weekly
 Ensure that unauthorized persons are not permitted into the central stores

Operations – Creditors Clerk

 Verify and validate all supplier documents received
o Ensure invoices are correctly made out to Guest Services with company address and VAT no. on
o Ensure supplier details (Company name, Address & VAT no) are on the invoice
o Ensure goods have been received and signed by the person receiving the goods / services – verify signatures
 Capture all supplier invoices after validation
 Follow up on outstanding credit notes from suppliers weekly and ensure that the Stock Not Received general ledger account is zero at month-end
 Request creditor statements from all suppliers
 Reconcile supplier statements with creditors ledger in a timely and accurate manner
 Submit reconciled creditors accounts for payment in a timely fashion and within creditors payment terms
