It’s a blessing and a curse working in an industry I love. I get to see the all the new gear, this particular jacket is off to a lucky customer. The Oxford Rockland jacket isn’t well known here but my word it is just a super jacket full 4 season with all the bells and whistles. So impressed with the gear coming out of the Oxford stable.

We had a very frosty start to our day yesterday as we headed out for a long overdue visit to Grotto to Gravel for breakfast yesterday.

The ride itself was very scenic as we took "the long way round" and with temperatures dipping to around 1 degree Celsius I was incredibly grateful for winter gloves and thermals that Mark insisted I use. Needless to say, I was just about frozen onto my bike by the time of our arrival at Grotto.

What an awesome place? 😎 With good food, wonderful hosts and coffee that hits the spot just right, its no wonder that its a popular hang out for bikers.

In fact, we were not the only tables eagerly awaiting their hot coffees and delicious breakfasts. 🍳☕

This was an excellent first visit for us, and we look forward to many more return visits. 🏍🌄 A huge thank you to our hosts and wonderful waitress for looking after us so well. 😊

Guess who got all dressed up, excited and ready for a lekker midday escape on her bike? 🙋‍♀️

I got caught off guard on Wednesday and experienced what we all dread, a cold, sad battery. 🤣 Thankfully, the Oximiser came to the rescue and with an overnight charge my Husq is ready to hit the road. ⚡️🛣

Sadly, my day won't allow for that sneaky lunch time break, but this was a very real reminder of how lack of use and cold weather are not friendly to batteries.

Needless to say, I have been ragged to no end, because "You should know better." and "I told you you need to ride your bike more often." have been all I heard over the last 24hrs. 😅😂

Lesson learnt!

Bring on the weekend, and a day in the saddle 😎
