Health….

I’ve been wanting to update my beautiful KJ Fans of my life lately, but never quite finding the guts, the strength or the brain capacity to do so. Since it is Fibromyalgia Awareness Day today, I thought today would be the perfect day.

So no, sadly I have not extended my fashion skills to making scrubs for hospitals, doctors or patients, but I have been spending much of my time since 2024 in and out of hospitals and doctors rooms.

I have been struggling (silently) with massive health issues which got progressively worse in 2024 and am still searching for the road of recovery.

You may have noticed that we have posted less, popped up less and you would have seen less of myself (and in shorter doses) and more of my wonderful staff. They have been holding the fort for me while I’ve been forced to hibernate and hide from the world in my bed.

While I am still searching for evidential answers as to the cause, I can advise that (hopefully) it is not a terminal disease, but rather a silent, invisible one. If you have seen me in person- you have seen the face that took every ounce of my energy to put on, pretending to be ok.

I now have enough strength and courage to say that I was in fact, not ok.

Being the forever optimist, I am at a place where I am grateful to still be alive, but also hopeful for a positive recovery 🙏

I won’t bore you here with the medical details (and all the mental, physical and emotional drain) of my health, but I do invite you to follow my health journey on 💫 (please be patient while I update as and when I have the strength to post).

I would love to share my lessons on health with you in the hope that I may have a positive impact on someone else’s life before they reach this point that I got to.

Thank you for supporting KJ brand and the heartbeat that is my “first baby” - there are no words to describe my gratitude in keeping my physical heart pumping as a result.
