We resonate with this study about clothing and mood. What we wear is not only about our physical appearance and our visual appeal. Our comfort, our style, our choice of colours all feed into our mental outlook.
What reaffirms this thinking for me personally is remembering how I felt when I wore an outfit that was simply wrong for me.
Perhaps I liked it on someone else so thought I'd try their look. Instead, I felt deeply insecure, awkward and out of place.
Mortified, in fact!
As you get to know yourself better, you develop a wardrobe that closely aligns with who you are. I admire so many styles and looks but I now know what I'm drawn to is beauty and playfulness in patterns and colours, comfort and a modicum of modesty.
