Bonnake without jobs.. At times one needs to volunteer even without getting paid. Opens up opportunities one never saw coming.
A few years ago I joined 'a team' of professionals who could not pay me at the time. Went everywhere with them and took minutes at their meetings (with mostly CEO's and such leadership in general)... Did i mention that I am a whole graduate and all that? Yet i volunteered to do the minute thingy. And tagged along to meet royalty. Not only did i get to keep these contacts for my own ventures but the leadership of this very initiative still consults me for my own opinion on things and shares important documents to edit/add.
Volunteer, bonnake. Make and keep connections for your 'future' endeavours. It is not always about the money. But time. And preferences on how you spend your valued time. How you spend your time will set you apart from your peers. I had ample time on my hands. I got kicked out of corporate SA for having had depression after multiple death in my family. I kept looking for another job and kept hitting brick walls. Decided then to wipe my tears, get off and open those curtains, make my bed, and followed royalty to mingle with more royalty. I wore my cap at all meetings. My hair was a mess as I had no money to get all juuggddeedd up. And the royalty loved my caps. They like seeing and interacting with people outside their norm.
