Cyanotype Fine Art Prints and Fabrics
Limited edition, made to order, fabrics printed on luxury silks and linens WHY THE BLUES?

Erica is an artist who creates beautiful Cyanotype images and these are used in the design of limited edition, specialty floral fabrics. Cyanotype is a very old photographic process that requires a mix of two chemicals and natural sunlight and produces images in a range of cyan blues. Inspired by the first female photographer Anna Atkins (1799-1871) who made exquisite cyanotype images of algae, fe

rns, feathers and waterweeds Erica is drawn to use what is growing and flowering around her. Erica lives in the southern most part of Africa where the local flora, Fynbos, provides a rich and abundant source of inspiration. The amalgamation of old school hand printing coupled with digital processes yield diverse, intricate and often surprising designs.
