When it comes to window treatments, two popular choices are curtains or drapes….but what’s the difference?

In short, both are fabric panels hung at windows or doors with the purpose of offering privacy, and adding visual interest to a room.

Drapes, like curtains, hang from a rod, but are often lined with heavy fabric to block all outside light. The main difference is that the visible fabric of drapes is typically heavy and stiff, and often pleated, contributing to a more formal appearance.

When comfort needs to match style, scatter cushions are the answer to sprucing up your couches.

Sewing Studio was recently asked to make some cushions in a plain fabric to compliment the patterned cushions that the customer already had. We think the addition of an Oxford edging to the plain fabric covers adds that extra interest and pizazz to the set.
