sophistication, Sitting Pretty collections are characterized by soft tones and light, loose cuts, embodying a cosmopolitan feel and a controlled nonchalance. Emma strives to conceive simple and relaxed pieces, playing as much with materials as with colour and prints, offering a kind of understated chic with a twist of sexiness and originality. Environmental awareness, ethical trading and integrity also underpin the label’s philosophy. Sitting Pretty is particular about sourcing natural fibres and does not mass produce. All garments are designed and manufactured locally and ethically in Cape Town.

Before the parcel, there was tissue. Before the tissue, there was a maker. Before the maker, there was a roll of natural fibre fabric. Before the fabric, there was the decision we made in 2013 to never use synthetics again.

Every Sitting Pretty piece carries that whole chain inside it. Local makers we have worked with for over fourteen years. Natural fibres only. No shortcuts, no synthetics, no hidden costs we are not willing to wear ourselves.

🤎 A blouse for any occasion (or shopping excuse).

This season we have leaned into blouses, and honestly we cannot pick a favourite. Soft natural fibres, relaxed fits, sleeves that work tucked or loose. Some made for layering under a knit, others happy to sit solo with denim.

Each one quietly earns its place. Whether it is the frill neck, the tie up, the mandarin collar, or the oversized linen, there is something for the way you actually get dressed.
