Strength is often imagined as something loud and obvious, something you can clearly point to and recognise in the moment. But for many working moms, it doesn’t feel like that at all. It feels quiet, repetitive, and sometimes even invisible.
It looks like getting through a day that started before you were ready for it. It looks like holding everything together at work while your mind is still half at home. It looks like coming back in the evening and stepping straight into another role without much space in between.
There are days where you feel capable and steady, where everything flows just well enough to give you a sense of control. But there are also days where everything feels stretched, where your energy runs low, and where simply getting through the day feels like the biggest task of all.
And yet, even on those days, you keep showing up. Not because it’s easy, but because it matters. Not because you feel strong, but because you don’t really have the option not to be.
That’s the part that often goes unnoticed. Strength isn’t always something you feel in the moment. Sometimes it only becomes visible when you look back and realise how much you carried, how much you managed, and how many times you chose to keep going.
It may not feel powerful while you’re in it, but it is. In ways that are steady, real, and deeply impactful. 🤍
