THE OSTRICH: ONE OF GOD'S MOST FASCINATING LESSONS
Have you ever read what God says about the ostrich🤔?
In Job 39:13–18, God describes a bird that almost seems comical.
🪶 It can't fly like an eagle.
🥚 It lays its eggs on the ground but also appears careless with them
God says it wasn't given the same wisdom as other creatures🤔
Yet the story doesn't end there... that's one thing I love about my God❤️🤗
🏃♀️ When the ostrich begins to run, it outruns the horse and its rider
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL REMINDER OF GOD'S WISDOM❕
The ostrich spends no time wishing it could fly. It simply runs exactly as its Creator designed it to.
How often do we compare ourselves with others?
"I wish I could sing like them."
"I wish I could preach like them."
"I wish I had their opportunities."
I wish! I wish the wishes are endless...
Meanwhile, God gently reminds us:
"I didn't create you to be someone else. I created you to faithfully use the gifts I entrusted to you."
The ostrich teaches us that what looks like a weakness may simply be part of God's unique design. If God withholds one ability, He often provides another.
So today, don't envy another person's wings.
Run your race with the strength God has given you.
The God who made the eagle to soar also made the ostrich to run—and both glorify their Creator by being exactly what He designed them to be. ❤️
