Why does your pump stop working even when it’s brand new?

Most times, it’s not the pump. It’s where it was placed.
A surface pump sits above the water and pulls it up, like drinking through a straw. If the water is too deep more than 6-8 metres below the pump it will struggle, lose its prime and slowly damage itself.

Then there’s the other side: pushing the water out. Wrong pipe size, pipe too long, or water going too high and the pump overworks itself until it burns out.

A pump is not just a machine you buy and drop anywhere. It’s part of a system. Get the site wrong, and even the best pump will fail you.

Every season, farmers lose crop not because rain failed but because a pump was undersized, oversized, or simply wrong for the borehole and field it was feeding.
