There are moments in life that leave you completely speechless… this is one of them.

I am deeply humbled and incredibly honoured to have been nominated for the Africa Fashion Designers Award 2026.

When I saw the announcement, I could hardly believe it. To be recognized alongside some of Africa’s finest and most influential fashion designers is a privilege I will never take for granted.

This nomination is bigger than me. It is a victory for Tashfash Designs. It is a victory for Zambia. It is proof that our creativity, our culture, and our craftsmanship are making an impact beyond our borders.

Every stitch, every design, and every collection has always carried one mission—to proudly showcase Zambia to the world. Today, that mission has been recognized on one of Africa’s biggest fashion platforms.

Now, I need my country behind me. Let’s unite and bring this award home! 🇿🇲

🇿🇲 WE ARE GOING TO GERMANY! 🇩🇪

What a humbling honour to be invited by the Zambian-German Association to showcase Tashfash Designs during the 2026 Zambian Independence & Culture Day celebrations in Germany.

On 24th October 2026, we’ll proudly represent Zambia by telling our nation’s story through fashion. Every design reflects who we are—from Victoria Falls, our beautiful landscapes and wildlife, to the Copper Dress, the Maize Dress, the Blood Dress, the Musisi-inspired gown in our national colours, and the Breaking the Chains design symbolising freedom and resilience. Every piece celebrates Zambia’s heritage, identity and creativity.

We are honoured to promote our beautiful country on an international stage and continue proving that Zambian fashion belongs on the world stage.

Exciting News! We won’t be travelling alone. Tashfash Designs is looking for one Brand Ambassador to travel with us to Germany and represent our brand internationally. While models will be provided in Germany, we want to take one outstanding representative from Zambia.

Auditions and interviews will soon be held at the Tashfash Designs offices. More details will be announced soon.

What a journey. What a testimony. 🇿🇲🤍

As I share this final recap of the inaugural AM Zambian – The Zambian Luxury Runway Experience, my heart is filled with gratitude.

To my husband, thank you for believing in this vision before anyone else. Three months before June, you challenged me to stop waiting and simply do it. Even from miles away, your encouragement and unwavering support gave me the courage to bring this dream to life. I love you babbbbby❤️❤️❤️

Thank you to the Ministry of Tourism, the Zambia Development Agency, .2023 Lumiere Convention Centre, musicians, and traditional dancers, painters, artists, photographers, videographers, vendors, volunteers, models, sponsors, the Tashfash Designs family, our planning committee, production team, Am Zambian prayer group,tailors, detailers, and every single person who attended, shared, supported, and believed in AM Zambian.

Watching the traditional collection brought me to tears. It reminded me why we created AM Zambian to celebrate Zambia’s culture, identity, creativity, and excellence through fashion.

Above all, thank You, God. What once seemed impossible became a testimony of Your faithfulness.

This was only the beginning. AM Zambian is now an annual celebration, and we’ll see you again next June as we continue telling Zambia’s story through fashion.

If you’ve followed the AM Zambian runway, you’ve probably noticed this symbol printed across many elements of the experience from our runway and garments to our tags, lanyards, and carefully curated details.

These are our Zambian Unity Spirals, symbolizing the continuity of our heritage, the richness of our culture, and the unity that binds us as one nation. Like a spiral, our identity continues to grow, evolve, and connect generations.

This design also celebrates Zambian craftsmanship. The woven detailing pays tribute to the timeless weaving traditions of Western Province, honouring the artisans who transform natural fibres into works of art. Designed for occasions such as Chilanga Mulilo and other traditional celebrations, the woven textures, earthy tones, and Unity Spirals come together to tell one story—the story of Zambia.

At Tashfash Designs, every pattern, texture, and detail is intentional. From our custom-printed runway to our garments, everything was thoughtfully researched and created to celebrate our nation’s identity, culture, and legacy.

Because fashion is more than what we wear—it is the story of who we are.
