Now they're ready to be sewn together.

Then the centre is tied and we have a bowtie starting to form🤵

10 years ago today, my mom and I decided we wanted to start selling clothing that was handmade from the beautiful fabrics that people wear across Africa. And that's when Zimbowties was born!

It took a lot of planning and work, but on the 6th of August, we had our first batch of bowties 🥰 let us know in the comments if there's anyone out there that has one of these !

We used the measurements of the buckles and straps from a store bought bowtie to make sure we find similar ones for our own.

And once we had our bowties ready, we did our first photoshoot😁
Thanks to H&M Productions who took some amazing photos in their backyard.
These images helped us start sharing the idea of buying bowties handmade in Mutare, Zimbabwe with the rest of the world.
And thanks to our models for doing the shoot with us 🫶

From humble beginnings to a successful bowtie business, we're so grateful for every step in this journey so far. And we're even more grateful to have each and every one of you be a part of it ❤️
