Free beach toys, a playground, toilets and food nearby. All the things I look for in an outing with kids. 🙌

Definitely not footage from this weekend! ⛈️ I was supposed to be at the Henley Square Markets, but they were cancelled because of the weather. 😞 Still catching up on my photos and videos from sunnier days.

Did you know there’s a free beach toy library bench at Brighton Beach? Mine found a castle mould and a spade and got busy building a castle with a moat.

Then my son discovered that if he dug down far enough, he struck water. His own water supply without the trips to the water’s edge. VERY pleased with himself. 😂💙

We set up under the jetty for the shade. Even when we’re Eascaper-ing, we’re still thinking about shade and drinking water, alongside hats and sunscreen on exposed skin.

Sunglasses? I’m having less luck there. Like most things in my parenting, it’s rarely perfect. Just pretty good — and I’ve got them covered. 💙

A big shoutout to the City of Holdfast Bay for providing the toy library. Such a simple idea that makes a beach trip that little bit easier.

Add the playground on the esplanade, nearby toilets and somewhere to grab a bite and that’s us happily sorted.

While we were out Eascaper-ing at the beach—the same visit that ended with her brother’s wet shorts 😂—my daughter found this little heart-shaped stone.

She cleaned it, then brought it over and gave it to me. I gave her the biggest hug. 🤍

She’s just turned nine and there’s a bit of boundary pushing happening behind the scenes. We’re finding our way through it together.

Then she does something like this. Finds a little treasure, takes the time to clean it and brings it to her mum.

It’s the little things, isn’t it?

Super sweet. I love them both so much 🥹

A little Officeworks stop with the kids while I get everything ready for the next Eascaper market.

They’re wearing the hoodies, I’m collecting the printing and somewhere in between parenting and building a business, we’re getting it done.

There’s something pretty special about having them along for these little moments. They’re the reason I started Eascaper and now they get to see what goes into bringing it to life.

Although, they probably just wanted to hurry up and get to the beach! 🤣
