Calling all collaborators, educators, and interested groups, our workshop bookings are open for 2026/27 FY. This is for both public events and private workshops (yess that means bridal showers and similar celebrations). Hosting events is one of my absolute favourite parts of running HunterMade and I’ve had the opportunity to offer more space for them this year. Pigment from flowers can be brewed out of so many types petals, the options are endless. The Toronto Ink Company book is such a fantastic resource for this and its how I first learnt about the process. Botanical paints can be strong and subtle depending how you prepare them. I actually enjoy using flowers as paint sticks on watercolour paper such as geraniums. Using weeds like soursobs and scabiosa means we can do some light weeding while we walk and come home for a paint sessions with our findings. More on that soon… 🌱
