Baby might be that little bit too young for trick or treating… so how about trying a pat mat? Grown ups, you can get as creative as you like 🎃 This video guides you through.

Developmental benefits include-
💪 Strengthen early motor skills- reaching, arm movements, coordination on tummy time.

Safety first- always supervise your baby closely. Check the pouch is properly sealed and has no leaks. Never leave baby unattended with the mat.

For us, it's a carefully created, well thought out sensory adventure. For our little ones, it's an opportunity to look, wonder, explore and experience the world in their own unique way. Promoting independence and sparking natural curiosity.

This the *magic* of Baby Sensory! A new, different themed adventure every week, with beautiful moments for babies and their grown-ups to share together.

Who knew a bowl of
"natural treasures" could offer so many opportunities?!

✨ Sensory development - experiencing different textures helps babies explore the world through touch.

🙌 Fine motor skills - grasping, releasing and manipulating helps develop hand strength and control.

•• Hand-eye coordination - reaching for and exploring objects helps eyes and hands learn to work together.

🧠 Cognitive development - discovering different shapes, colours, sizes and textures encourages curiosity, exploration and early problem-solving.

💪 Physical development - again, reaching, stretching and moving their hands builds coordination and body awareness.

💭 Language development - when grown ups describe what babies are touching, feeling and seeing, we introduce new words and boost early language skills.

❤️ Confidence and independence - giving babies time to explore at their own pace encourages curiosity and independent discovery.

And the best part? There's no right or wrong way to explore.

Important safety note: Because this activity uses oats, a moderate sized stone and a "pine cone", it should be supervised at all times. Remember to keep small objects away from babies who may mouth them, as they can pose choking risks. Use only materials that are safe, clean and suitable for your baby.

Small business ownership is so much more than what you see on the surface, every “hat” is part of the journey, but I wouldn’t change it.

My baby is *too busy*… they won’t sit still for class!

We hear you! But here’s the thing, your baby really doesn’t have to sit still to enjoy or benefit at Baby Sensory!

Our 7 to 13 month classes are made for little movers, crawlers and curious explorers. Babies are welcome to move, explore, reach, crawl, dance or wander around all while they enjoy the activities we offer.

There’s no need to “wrestle” them to sit still on a mat. They can join in however they like.

If you’ve got a “busy” baby who loves to explore, we’d love to welcome you to one of the following classes in Term 4!

🎓TERM 3 BABY SENSORY GRADUATES! 🎓

One of my favourite things about Baby Sensory is getting to watch babies grow and reach new milestones.

From those first classes where they were tiny, sleepy and taking everything in, to their final class, where they’re reaching, exploring, moving, laughing and joining in more independently 💛

Thank you to all the families who have tagged us in your photos and shared your Baby Sensory memories. I couldn’t resist putting some of them together!

As we head into our final week of Term 3, we’re feeling all the feels as some of our beautiful little Baby Sensory babies get ready to graduate. 🎓🥹
