Good day friends! As they say it in Japanese, hisashiburi (aka long time no see). Apparently term 1 of school was a very busy one. I did some artworks or at least attempted to but after some weeks, I felt like I didn't have enough energy to share them here. Sorry! I am hoping that I can share some works here more regularly going forward.

Recently, I got the chance to finally make my own colour wheel using gouache that included tint, tone and shade. It's something simple yet complicated but I absolutely enjoyed making it. Have you ever made one? Was it something that you enjoyed also?

Anyway, if you've been visiting my account so far, thank you. I really appreciate it. Blessed with time off during the school holiday really helped me to spend more time drawing, painting and designing. God willing, I'll go back to work next week so I'll see if I can keep up with the posting scheduling.

My recent attempt of painting this coffee maker or moka pot to learn value in painting. I added an extra wash for the left panel to get the final painting result because it was still too light (see photo 4).

It was a good exercise. What do you think I need to do better? Thanks 😊

I am grateful for the chance to do watercolour again lately. At one point, I was confused that the colour mixing wasn't what I expected to be. Then I remembered that I made these swatches some years ago.

If you have a collection of paints, haven't made any swatches of them yet and don't know what to paint, what about if you paint swatches of the mixed colours? It's a good exercise and you'll get a beautiful library of colours.

Have you ever made any swatches at all? Was it for watercolour or different materials?
