It's been another rollercoaster week in the Land of Jaunty Gill, but it's ending on a high 😃

I can finally share the piece I submitted to the earlier this year -
Home Is Where The HeArt Is 💚

And the reason I can reveal it?
Someone has purchased it 🥹

I don't know when it was sold, I just noticed when I was browsing their website this evening.

My first artwork (since high school 😆)

💛 7 things I have learned/come to believe as I head towards completing my 52nd lap around the sun.

1. No matter how far you travel, ALL your baggage will come with you - literal & metaphorical 😜Healing is an ongoing journey, at least it is for me 🥰

2. Being a Spinster Aunt is the BEST!
I love it so much more than I ever thought possible 🥰🥰🥰

3. Everything does NOT happen for a reason, but what's for you will not go by you.

4. No-one has it all figured out, we're all making it up as we go along.

5. Those we love and those who love us never truly leave us 🥹🥰

6. Everyone is creative in some way. Creativity is not defined by ability to draw or paint.

7. I will never not cram to hit a deadline.
No matter how much time I have to do the "thing" I will still be pulling an all-nighter to get it across the line

💛 I'm meant to be back on my & 15 Day Challenge today, but it's been one of those days.

Fathers Day is always a wobbly one 🥹 then add in some peri-menopause hormones 🎢 along with a full moon eclipse just for fun 🌚 It's all left me feeling a little discombobulated 😵‍💫

🥰 So I'm giving myself permission to skip todays challenge, and I will try again tomorrow 🥰

💚 Over the past few weeks I have been working on reducing the amount of time I spend scrolling social media 😳 As a result, I have been reconnecting with my heart making, and sewing my little heart out 🥰 (pun intended)

💛 I had forgotten how much this activity improves my mental health and has the additional bonus of being the ideal physical therapy for my recovering wrist🪡👏🏻

💜 Feeling chuffed that today I stitched my 2,000th heart 😁
