I was a busy bee yesterday… after my arrangement at the Art Gallery I did another one for our Annual Exhibition at the Auditorium at the Botanical Gardens, Mt Coot-tha. The theme is 100 years of Sogetsu Ikebana and we had to choose one of the four Iemotos (Head Masters) styles for our arrangement. I choose Kasumi Teshigahara, the second Iemoto, which established her own style of Ikebana through miniature creations or light and luxurious works which made full use of dried or color painted materials. I used dried burgundy smoke bush, yellow carnations, yellow & burgundy button chrysanthemums, salmon hypericum berries and variegated flax for my arrangement. The gorgeous turquoise vase is on loan from@my teacher Pat 😊 #
