Just a girl who likes to beat up wool... Trish makes wearables by wet felting (nuno) fusing wool and silk fabric. Embrace the winter!!! :)

She has focused on millinery for the last ten years, creating all one-of-a-kind hats from up-cycled silks found while thrift shopping. Texture, color, comfort, function are her goal and the 1920/30's are her inspiration.

This gorgeous hat found its person last weekend. A “non-hat-wearer” she loved the volume, structure and rich tones in this hat. Sensible to cover her ears once it gets cold while not crushing her hair and so vibrant for our long winters…
Sometimes finding “your hat” is undeniable. I love that magic.
My next show is in Rothesay Nov 8th at the Bill McGuire centre, one day only. See you then!

This gorgeous hat began as a silk dress that I thrifted and never wore. It had an empire waist with a beautiful silk sashed belt. After years of contemplating wearing it I finally cut it up and felted it with a dove grey merino wool. I’m so pleased with how it turned out, modern but vintage and full of romantic charm. Fits a smaller head, so if this is you and you need to meet her in person, this hat will be at the Collage Fine Crafts show this weekend. This hat is made with wool and the most sheer Italian silk flocked with gold. The subtle pink and sunflower tones are so earthy, perfect for autumn and fall. It can be worn at a cocked angle with all hairstyles and attitudes. Marianna styled it with her own pinecone casted earrings which are so beautiful. This hat is for those of you who doodled hearts in your textbooks and hand-written notes. When I found this silk and made the hat, I recovered this chain from another up-cycled dress fashioning a simple hatband. I searched for the right charm and found the perfect match.
Fits a smaller head and will be available for purchase in two weeks at the Collage Fine Craft show in Hanwell outside of Fredericton.
