Community organizers Christina Pasion and Binay Serrano remain behind bars as human rights groups denounce what they describe as their wrongful arrest and detention. Supporters say the two dedicated their lives to serving marginalized communities and are now facing fabricated charges meant to silence their advocacy.

Their stories are a reminder that the struggle for human rights continues.

This National Indigenous Peoples Month, we honor Indigenous Peoples not only for their cultures, knowledge, and traditions they continue to nurture, but also for their enduring defense of their ancestral lands, communities, and rights.

From environmental harm in ancestral domains to land disputes and development projects that raise concerns about displacement, Indigenous communities continue to demand the right to live with dignity, protect their homes, and shape their own futures.

Celebration without protection is not enough. Recognition without accountability is not enough. Indigenous Peoples deserve more than appreciation; they deserve justice, self-determination, dignity, and respect for their rights.

Pinay Collections stands in solidarity with National Indigenous Peoples. This National Indigenous Peoples Month, we encourage everyone to share their stories respectfully, support community-led campaigns, oppose discrimination, and amplify indigenous voices. This October, Pinay Collection celebrates its anniversary through a night of music, culture, and solidarity, held in line with Peasant Month.

We gather to raise funds and stand with the farmers and Indigenous peoples of Tarlac whose lands, livelihoods, and communities are threatened by the proposed Pax Silica initiative in Capas, Tarlac—a project that puts our motherland, natural resources, and environment at risk.

The event brings together artists, cultural workers, organizations, advocates, and communities through music, art, and political education.

This night is a call to come together in defense of people’s sovereignty, environmental protection, genuine national development, and a future where our resources serve our people—not imperialist interests.

For us as Filipinos, solidarity with Palestine is not distant from our own history.

As Filipinos, we carry our own history of resistance. We honour that history by standing with people fighting for their own liberation today.

We call for an end to the killing, displacement, starvation, and destruction of Palestinian life. We call on the United States and Israel to end the war and the devastation of Gaza. We must continue to stand with Palestinians in their demand to live, return, rebuild, and be free.
