Weekend recap!!
I’ll be completely honest, this weekend wasn’t the biggest one for sales. Saturday in Covent Garden brought torrential rain from start to finish and I think all of us traders were wondering what on earth we’d signed up for but considering it was the very first market there, I can genuinely see the potential it has in better weather. And even though the sales weren’t what I’d hoped for I walked away with something so much bigger
This weekend reminded me why I started Forever Violet in the first place. Not just to sell scrunchies and accessories but to build something meaningful. The amount of love, encouragement and support from fellow small businesses and organisers honestly carried me through. There’s something so special about being surrounded by people who get it, people cheering you on even when the day is slow, helping you pack down in the rain, hyping up your products and reminding you why you keep going
Sunday at South Bank was a little better sales-wise but again I came away with more than money. I met Rona and her lovely mum and now I cannot stop thinking about dogs in bows!! So… Forever Violet dog accessories may need to happen?!
But most importantly, I was reminded that Forever Violet has given me my people. Over the last few weeks I’ve massively overthought everything, whether I’m doing enough, whether I should even continue but this weekend reminded me that things really do happen for a reason.
This business has brought incredible people into my life. People who are unapologetically themselves, who support one another, who celebrate each other’s wins and pick each other up during the hard days. And honestly? That means more to me than any sales total ever could (though a great sales total is obviously always welcomed!)
So thank you. To everyone who stopped by, shared kind words, supported, encouraged or simply made me smile this weekend… thank you for reminding me why Forever Violet exists
