My son has been climbing for about 6 months now and his chalk bag was falling apart so he wanted a new one, something a bit different, something special. Luckily I had an old pair of jeans I had been using for patches at work so we turned one leg into this beast.

This 1940's Rolex box was owned by the customers father and passed down to him. It had definitely seen better days and a local repairer suggested he come and see if I could restore some of its former glory. I think I did him proud. These sell for between £150 and £400 (for just the box!)

Sometimes I try to explain to my customers that their shoe is hollow with a lattice inside and the lattice has collapsed... this is what I mean. Moulded rubbish that cannot take normal wear and tear. I've now got to try and rebuild these soles using Micro (the stuff used in hospital build ups. Wish me luck
