I had the pleasure of working on the costumes for this show a few weeks ago.
It’s the closest I ever actually got to Ms Parton. Her amazing legacy will live on for generations. So long Dolly, you were truly one in a million.

She was 'extraordinary'.

Been busy tidying today - organising stuff. My unit is looking much better and I’m feeling much better as a result. Funny how a tidy space can make you feel a lot calmer. I know you super organised people always tidy up after yourself, don’t start another project without finishing the one you’re already working on and put things away at the end of the day. I wish I could be more like that but it’s just not me.

Anyhow, I’ve listed a couple of sale items and there’s more to come over the weekend.

Don’t forget, to use the code to get 15% off your order ( includes the sale too)

I’ve been inspired seeing so many wonderful quilts and creations from Festival of Quilts over the last couple of days so, here I am, the first day of August showing off my finished ‘Home for Christmas’ advent calendar.
I made multicoloured tabs for hanging which I’m rather pleased with - if you purchase one of these panels, they’ll be included in your order.

I’m offering 15% off purchases until midnight tomorrow (Sunday 2nd August).

I’m in the process of making the ‘Home for Christmas’ advent calendar. It’s larger than some of the other panels, with the finished calendar measuring approx 27” x 29”.
I add some interfacing to the pocket panels to give more structure, and also some of the extremely useful and versatile fusible fleece to the main panel.
First job, now I’ve cut out all the pieces, is to have a cup of tea, stroke the cat, or start another project 😆 Seriously, this is why you need to start sewing your advent calendar early.
I’ll keep you posted 🎄

There are endless combinations in the Charmed range - these are just two of them.
I made 16” cushions using just two of the squares from the panel. You’d need one fat quarter to do the edging and another for the backing. I used some fusible wadding (1/2 metre), on the front and back, and stitched some of the detail on the front. On the back I worked some free motion spaghetti-style stitch to secure both layers.
Pictures taken on a background of scorched grass ☀️
