ABOUT

About Us
At Jennifer Slattery, we create timeless products from Irish linen and lambswool. From napkins and table runners to shirts and scarfs, each piece is made in Ireland and hand-finished in The Old Butcher’s Studios in Smithfield, Dublin 7. We are a small team of two who are proud to collaborate and partner with exceptional Irish weavers and suppliers. Together, we create everyday ite

ms that are designed to last.

Our Beginnings
Our name comes from our founder Jennifer, whose pull to knitting and sewing saw her leave her job as a graphic designer in a Dublin design studio in 2007 to study textiles in the National College of Art & Design. Jennifer’s approach to design is rooted in a sense of nostalgia and celebration, which can be seen in motifs of her grandmother’s cutlery, and in the distinctive wildflowers that adorn her work. The company was founded after Jennifer’s grad show pieces sold out in a matter of days in 2011, and today you can find Jennifer Slattery textiles in a host of Irish and international retailers, including our own studio. The Studio
In 2014, we took on the renovation of a redbrick corner of Benburb Street that had been boarded up. Alongside our neighbour and pal, Jamie Lewis of The Wool Felt Shop, we restored the two shops side by side in a complementary approach that respects their Victorian heritage. Both the shutters and the boards that covered the windows were repurposed into display shelving and today, we have Krass Clement and David Jazay photographs on display that chronicle some of the building’s history. We often welcome in visitors who have fond memories of Martin & Joyce butchers who occupied the building for many years and served Jennifer’s own grandmother, who lived locally. Our embroidery designs always begin as hand-drawn illustrations that are tweaked and coloured before the final design is transferred to a computer. From concept to finished product, steps of the process can be seen in action at our open studio at 72-74 Benburb Street, where we design through sampling. In between are trips around Ireland visiting our trusted partners in Down, Donegal, Wexford and all over Dublin. Our Production
We are passionate about natural textiles and responsible sourcing. We are proud of the strong relationships we have forged with the brilliant suppliers and manufacturers that we work hand in hand with. From flax to final product, we know and can vouch for every part of the production process. All our packaging is fully recyclable. Collaborate With Us
Some of our best ideas have been born out of community and collaboration. If you think we could work well together, we would love to hear from you. Email us at [email protected].

Thank you for all the love for this limited edition winter stripe Maud. We have just 2 left 🥰

We make limited edition pieces for a simple reason: keeping things small keeps them special.
When you pick one up, you’re getting something only a handful of people will ever own - and we love that.

Working in limited runs also lets us test ideas, try new details, and follow our curiosity without committing to big production. It keeps the process fresh, and it keeps us inspired.

Thanks for being here for the small-batch moments. More to come. ✨

There has been so much love too for our beautiful shoot 💙

The Winnie dress in limited-edition check Irish linen ✨✨

I’ve been living in this piece lately - it goes so well with winter boots, chunky socks, layered over a light knit for colder days - it's just so easy to throw on.

It also layers beautifully over trousers or a skirt… seen here over the Winnie skirt in black, a playful shift in silhouette 🤍

Thank you to the brilliant team who brought these pieces to life. I am so grateful 🤍

The Winter Coat ✨✨

I wanted to make a big, everyday coat - something you could throw over a chunky Aran jumper or layer on top of a voluminous evening dress. A coat that feels like a cozy blanket, but still works whether you’re dressing up or running around day-to-day.

Thanks to for the most beautiful tweed. The yarns are spun in Donegal by so much love has gone in to this forever piece 🤍🤍🤍

we will be adding stock to our website tomorrow and anyone signed up to our newsletter will receive a little treat.

I'm very grateful for all the love this piece has received so far from our amazingly supportive customers. We made a small batch and half have gone to lovely homes.
