Behind every Saraden Designs piece is Sarah O’Rourke — the designer, maker and owner behind the brand. 🤍

Sarah’s creative journey began with a one-year PLC course in Fashion & Textile Design, before going on to graduate with a degree in Visual Arts Practice from IADT Dun Laoghaire.

While studying, Sarah began developing her own unique fabric medium — something that would later become a signature part of Saraden Designs.

Today, every piece is designed and handmade by Sarah, combining her love of art, fashion, sculpture and sustainable design.

From creating her own fabrics to transforming them into statement headpieces, Sarah’s approach has always been about creating something different, beautiful and made to last.

And the name Saraden?
Sarah + Designs. ✨

So now you know the face behind the designs…

It’s the final few days of the Curated by Design Centre pop-up in Foxrock, with the doors closing this Sunday.

It has been such a fantastic time in the store, and I’ve absolutely loved having my designs there alongside and her amazing team. Thank you for making it such a lovely experience and for all the support over the past few weeks. 🤍

I was SO excited to see the new cover of Irish Country Magazine ✨

Firstly, how absolutely beautiful does R O Z look?! 🤍 𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗡 𝗗𝗢𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗬 did such a spectacular job with the shoot, and seeing it all come together is just incredible.

But there was another reason I was especially excited to pick up this issue… today was the announcement of the Irish Made Awards finalists! 🥂

And I am beyond proud to say that Saraden Designs is a finalist in the Accessories category! 🥹✨

And what makes this even more special is that it’s the 10th year of the Irish Made Awards — and it’s also my 10th year in business! 🥹🤍 What a milestone to celebrate together.

One week on from the Ireland Fashion Week People & Planet Retreat in collaboration with feelatone , and I’m still talking about it. 🤍✨

Some experiences stay with you long after they’ve ended, and this was definitely one of them.

From waking up surrounded by nature at the beautiful CABÜ Cabins, to listening to inspiring guest speakers, sharing ideas with fellow creatives, and having the time to simply slow down—it was the perfect reminder of how important it is to step away from the everyday.

As a small business owner, taking time to reconnect with nature, clear your mind, rest your body, and have meaningful conversations with like-minded people is something we don’t do often enough. I left feeling inspired, re-energised, and incredibly grateful.

The biggest thank you to the entire Ireland Fashion Week team, especially Siobhan Whelan , Ashley McDonnell and Roisin Scanlan, for creating such a thoughtful and memorable experience. Every detail reflected the care and hard work that went into making the retreat so special.

It was also wonderful to make new friendships, strengthen existing ones, and spend time with such a talented group of designers and creatives. The conversations, laughter and shared passion are what I’ll remember most.

Bootcamp number 2 with Ireland Fashion Week and what an inspiring day it was with my fellow designers.

It was a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable insights into the fashion industry, hear from experienced professionals, and learn more about the business behind the creativity. Every session offered something new, and I’m leaving with fresh ideas, motivation, and an even greater appreciation for the work that goes into the industry.

Grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to what’s next. Thank you to Ashley McDonnell and her team who shared their knowledge and experience.
